絃 (Gen) 1st Anniversary Concert

“Gen” (絃), an entertainment project based in Kyoto that presents new ways to experience traditional Japanese instruments, is celebrating its first anniversary thanks to the support of everyone.

The timeless sounds of koto, shamisen, shakuhachi, and taishogoto intertwine with modern instruments like electric guitar, keyboard, drums, and flute to create music no one has ever heard before.

The program ranges from beloved J-POP classics to emotionally stirring original compositions. Even if this is your first time attending a concert featuring wagakki (traditional Japanese instruments), we’re confident you’ll leave with your heart moved.

This summer, join us in Okazaki, Kyoto, for an unforgettable musical experience. We look forward to welcoming you at the venue.
